How this tool handles your information
Short version: your answers stay in your browser. We only receive something when you choose to unlock the policy.
What stays in your browser
Your interview answers, your progress, and the generated policy are stored in your browser's local storage so you can leave and come back. They are not sent to Valve+Meter or anyone else while you work. Clearing your browser storage removes them.
What we receive when you unlock
When you submit the unlock form, we receive:
- Your name, work email, company name, and, if you provide them, phone number and website.
- A summary of your answers: trade, company size, operating states, your role, which AI categories you selected, how many tools you listed, whether customer-facing AI or employee monitoring is in use, and which topics were flagged for review.
- Whether you opted in to marketing email, with a timestamp.
- How you arrived: campaign parameters, referrer, and landing page.
We do not receive the policy text, your detailed matrix answers, or any free-text incident contact you entered.
What we do with it
We use it to follow up if you asked us to, to understand how home service companies are adopting AI in aggregate, and to improve this tool. We do not sell it.
What we never ask for
The interview never asks you to upload customer lists, call recordings, contracts, employee files, passwords, or other source material. It asks about practices and decisions, not records.
Deleting your information
Email hello@valveandmeter.com with the address you used and we will delete the record.
